Why Beyond Pharma
All medicine is sourced from nature either directly or though synthetic replication. Our mission is to help our clients achieve optimal health and healing by tapping into good nutrition through natural sources & helping clients to become less reliant on synthetic medicine. We believe for most people the best way to do that is through diet, appropriate nutritional supplementation, movement and emotional support. Together we can build a plan to take you Beyond Pharma.
WORK WITH VICKI
Nutritional Consulting
Our goal is to offer you step by step strategies to heal your body rather than chase remedies to ease symptoms. We believe that our bodies are created to heal themselves when given the nutrients they need to accomplish it. Our bodies talk to us. They tell us what is unbalanced, if you know how to listen.
Allopathic medicine (prescription medicine etc) doesn’t necessarily focus on the whole body by leading with an analysis of your diet which is the bedrock of all health. What it generally does is group together a bunch of symptoms, gives it a name and calls it a disease.
At Beyond Pharma, we offer a holistic or whole body, approach to building good health, including your mental and emotional health. In many cases our physical health is connected to emotional distress. We look at the ‘whole’ you, which is like a puzzle. We take what you are most concerned about and start there. Diet is always first. This is your bedrock. It is what we build your health plan around. Then we get you started on good quality vitamins and minerals that address your particular needs. We’ll start small and work up from there.
Supplement
Planning & Education
Supplements can help address a variety of health challenges. It is my passion to teach people that there are alternative ways to achieve good health. It is important to me that you gain an understanding of what your body needs, how it talks to you and how to listen. Supplementation can be an important component in a health plan, but it is important to have expert knowledge in what you need and the quality of the multitude of options out there. I can help evaluate your current health needs, current supplements or recommend additional supplementation.
We are happy to help.
Movement
Movement is so important and necessary when talking about good health practices. As an example, our Lymphatic System doesn’t drain or detox our system if we don’t move our bodies. There are so many options when it comes to moving your body and exercise. If you garden, do yardwork, walk around at your job, all these activities can count as movement. More structured methods are always an option, like going to a gym or an at home studio. Even a small space where you can do resistant training with hand weights or rubber bands. Whatever your choice, just move. Get your heart rate up and your metabolism functioning. Whatever movement you choose, it must be something you love and matches your abilities and growth trajectory. We can help you evaluate your abilities, goals and find the right movement plan for you!

Seven easy-to-follow steps to break sugar addiction:
Step 1- Eating breakfast with protein creates blood-sugar stability and allows you to have enough tryptophan in your blood to manufacture serotonin.
Step 2- Journaling teaches you how to read your body and adjust its rhythm and pace to your own needs.
Step 3- Three meals a day with protein maintains blood-sugar stability and prepares for the increase of serotonin production.
Step 4- Having vitamins and a nightly potato increases your serotonin level and gives your brain what it needs for serotonin manufacturing to work
Step 5- Shifting from “whites” to “browns” turns you away from your love affair with carbohydrates ad gives your body the positive effects of carbs while eliminating your craving for them.
Step 6- Taking out the sugar reduces the craving for sugar by eliminating beta-endorphin priming and thereby healing the addiction
Step 7- Finding radiance, or getting a life, teaches you the behaviors that enhance the increase of beta-endorphins.

I have a favorite recipe for chicken salad. I usually eat it over a bed of spinach or lettuce. It consists of chicken breasts or any leftover chicken pieces, celery, green onions, chopped walnuts, and chopped green apple. The sauce is made with avocado mayo by Chosen or Primal Kitchen. You want to look for a short list of ingredients, sugar-free and no additives. Mix that with freshly squeezed lemon juice.
